John Muir once wrote that when we try to pick out any one thing, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. It’s rather easy to see how rain, earth, and sun all connect in the form of a flower. But where do we as humans fit in? What are we hitched to? What role do we play in this interpenetrating network of life?
We once knew our part. We knew how our responsibilities and unique abilities linked us to plants, to animals, to everything. We were participants in the greater world, active stewards helping to tend the web of life. Over time, we lost sight of this. We forgot who we were and abandoned our associations. But it’s not too late to recover them.

At Indra’s Nettle, you will develop the knowledge, skills, fortitude, and resilience necessary to reestablish those connections. You will begin to see yourself as a part of a world that is vast, holistic, and very much alive. Books, videos, and podcasts can only help you recover so much. In order to really connect, you have to put in the dirt time. Come out with us. Come reconnect.
